Nurse Aide I - Training Program
The Nurse Aide I Training Program is designed to provide the entry-level nurse aide student with the fundamental nursing skills essential for providing patient care services under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Upon satisfactory completion, participants are prepared to take the state approved written examination and demonstration of competency skills to be placed on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry. Healthcare Provider CPR training is included.
Day Class Hours: 8:00am - 3:30pm; Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
August 18 - September 24, 2009
September 29 - November 5, 2009
November 10 - December 17, 2009
Evening Class Hours: 5:30pm - 10:00pm; Tuesday and Thursday
September 8 - November 19, 2009
Tuition: $390 plus Textbook ($49) and Course Packet ($7)

Medication Aide Training Program
This class will prepare the participant to meet the requirements of the Medication Aide Act and to assume the role and responsibilities of a Medication Aide.  After successful completion of the class, students will be prepared to sit for the State Medication Aide Competency exam.

Nurse Aide I Review Class
This class is open to any one who has been listed on a state NAI registry, has completed a state-approved NAI class, is a certified EMT, a certified Medical Assistant, or can provide a letter of recommendation from an RN who has supervised the student.

Friday and Monday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

Healthcare Provider CPR/AED
The curriculum for this program utilizes the recommended content areas from the American Heart Association (AHA).  This course is for professional healthcare and rescuer personnel who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course.

Friday, September 25, 10am - 2pm
Monday, October 26, 1 - 5pm
Friday, November 20, 9am - 1pm
Monday, December 14, 1 - 5pm

Tuition: $63 ($55 CMC-NE)


Introduction to Microsoft Power Point (15 hours)
