About Me
Ms. Jackson received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of South Carolina in 1995 and worked in various industries such as commercial banking, sales, and advertising.
Once her daughter was born, she realized she wanted to become a nurse like those that cared for her during her hospitalization. She went back to school and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Queens University of Charlotte in 2007 and launched her nursing career on a mother/baby unit. Subsequently, she worked in labor & delivery, the newborn nursery, and spent several years in high risk obstetrics. She served as chairperson and sat on numerous committees, including Shared Governance, Patient Satisfaction, and Magnet.
Ms. Jackson frequently precepted students and oriented new nurses which led her to her love of teaching. She joined the Cabarrus College of Health Sciences team shortly after obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing Education from Western Carolina University in 2019.
In her free time, Ms. Jackson enjoys attending concerts and performances, traveling, and spending time with her daughter and pets.
