About Me
Dr. Uzarski’s distinguished healthcare career spans more than 40 years across private, public, and academic settings. A highly regarded healthcare thought leader and administrator, she has brought her extensive experience in nursing, academic leadership, and healthcare strategy to her current role at Advocate Health. Her areas of expertise include academic nursing, strategic planning, research administration, diversity and inclusion initiatives, team science, and interprofessional education and practice.
Previously, Dr. Uzarski served as founding Dean and Professor of Practice at the Saint Anselm College Jean School of Nursing and Health Sciences in Manchester, NH. In this role, Dr. Uzarski led the development and implementation of the School’s vision, mission, strategic plan, achieved programmatic outcomes and played a pivotal role in planning a new 40,000-square-foot learning facility and achieving the facility’s Capital Campaign goals. She also served as Chief of Staff in the Dean’s Office at Duke University School of Nursing, where she led executive-level initiatives on behalf of the dean, including implementing the School’s five-year strategic plan and guiding multiple mission-driven initiatives. She has also served on Boards of the San Francisco Tenderloin YMCA, Duke Catholic Center and Catholic Medical Center in Manchester NH.
Dr. Uzarski earned a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Iona College, a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Duke University.
