About Me
Ms. Allder first stated that she wanted to become a nurse at age four. Inspired by her father, who was a volunteer paramedic for 20 years, she began her healthcare career at age 14 as a volunteer candy striper, and at 17 worked as a unit secretary.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Virginia in 1988, she began teaching as a clinical educator in 1995 in a small hospital in Southern California. She then relocated to Charlotte and began teaching at Cabarrus College in 2002 and obtained her Master's Degree in Nursing Education from Gardner-Webb University in 2006.
Ms. Allder spends time nurturing three daughters, two cats, a husband, and of course, Cabarrus College ADN students. She also enjoys church activities, reading murder mysteries, puzzles, and traveling.
