About Me
Dr. Brayboy, a proud citizen of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina and a first-generation college graduate, holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from East Carolina University. His doctoral project focused on enhancing the uptake of expedited partner therapy in local health department clinics across North Carolina. Dr. Brayboy's professional interests include Indigenous health, Latine health, public health, women's health, and sexual health. He is board-certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
His clinical experience spans Neuro-ICU, Public Health, and high-risk obstetrics. He is especially passionate about diversifying the nursing workforce to better represent the populations it serves.
The Brayboy household cheers for the Tar Heels and proudly proclaim “Hard the Sound.” Dr. Brayboy met his wife during his senior year at Carolina. They have one son and a beloved fur baby.
