About Me

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, in 1997. She then furthered her education with a nursing certificate and a Master of Science degree in nursing from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, in 2001. Her career as a pediatric nurse practitioner in neurology and primary care spans over two decades. Her commitment to professional growth is evident as she is set to complete her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at East Carolina University in July 2024 and plans to take her Certified Nurse Educator examination later this year.
Her teaching career has included being a graduate faculty member and a clinical instructor at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. She has been active for over ten years, teaching and precepting numerous nurse practitioner students. She has published on various topics, including adolescent marijuana use and prevention, parental vaccine refusal, Topiramate use for childhood with movement disorders, attention and processing cues for target identification, and perceptions of success based on appearance.
Dr. Bost's professional journey has taken her beyond national borders. She was deeply involved in international healthcare for nine years, making significant contributions in both Belize and Nicaragua. This global perspective, coupled with her extensive teaching and publication experience, sets her apart in the nursing field.
