About Me
Mrs. Cochran graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Associate Degree in Nursing from Cabarrus College of Health Sciences. While there, she received the Robert L. Wall Leadership Award and the Edith M. Dennis Service Award. She began her nursing career as a staff nurse in Mother/Baby. She soon started to precept new graduates and serve as a charge nurse for her unit. A few years into her career she began teaching as adjunct faculty for Stanly Community College and realized her passion for education.
Mrs. Cochran is grateful for the opportunity to teach at the college that began her nursing career. She feels that the college has given so much to her, this is her opportunity to give back and help educate the next generation of nurses. She is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have two children, a dog and three cats. In her free time, she enjoys being involved in her church and spending time with her family.
