About Me

Mrs. Knode began her nursing career as an LVN in 2012, where she worked as a home health nurse. She completed an LVN-BSN bridge program at National University in 2016. She was accepted into a new grad program at a local hospital in San Diego, CA and received training on four different units before finding a home on a cardiac surgery/telemetry progressive care unit. During this time, Mrs. Knode found a passion for teaching and education through precepting students and new graduate nurses. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis in Nursing Education (MSN-Ed) at Grand Canyon University in 2019.

While working full time as a bedside nurse, she became an adjunct clinical instructor at Southwestern Community College in 2019.At the end of 2023, she moved to Charlotte and began teaching full time.

In her free time, she enjoys travelling and reading. She sometimes even combines the two and will travel around, and out of, the country for book conventions. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and three fur babies.
