About Me
Mrs. McKercher-Phillips earned her Associate of Science Degree in Nursing 1997 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing 2007 from Cabarrus College of Health Sciences. She received her Master of Health Administration in 2017 from Pfeiffer University.
Mrs. McKercher-Phillips has been a registered nurse for 26 years with a diverse background including intra-operative, post-operative, critical care, infectious disease, and hospice and palliative care nursing. She is a member of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association, local and national chapters. She has enjoyed sharing her nursing knowledge with students as a clinical instructor at Davidson-Davie Community College LPN to RN program 2020/21 as well as a guest speaker with UNCC AG-ACNP program on difficult conversations with patients, and an instructor with the YourCareYourChoice department at Atrium on Conversations in Serious Illness and Providing Compassionate Care. She is excited to share her diverse experiences with the next generation of nurses at CCHS.
Mrs. McKercher-Phillips enjoys spending time with her husband, Todd, and her furr babies Money Penny and Winter Storm. She also enjoys RVing, fishing, baking, walking and hiking.
