About Me
Dr. Patricia Mullens has over 30 years of experience in both clinical practice and nursing education. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bluefield State University in West Virginia and her Master of Science in Nursing from Radford University in Virginia. In 2025, she completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Gardner-Webb University.
Dr. Mullens has been a dedicated member of the nursing faculty at Cabarrus College of Health Sciences since 2001 and was appointed Program Chair of the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Program in 2023. Her commitment to excellence in teaching and leadership has been recognized through multiple honors, including the Cabarrus College Educational Excellence Award, the Anita A. Brown Leadership Award, and the Cathryn M. Bratton Memorial Leadership Award from the Honor Society of Nursing.
Above all, Dr. Mullens remains passionate about mentoring the next generation of nurses, sharing her knowledge, experience, and heart with every student she teaches.
