About Me
Ms. Plemmons began her career as a nurse at the neuroscience unit at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Her wide and varied experience includes work at Presbyterian Hospital and CMC-University in orthopedics, urology, same-day surgery recovery, maternity, oncology, post-surgical, administration and education. She became a nurse educator to share her desire to ensure quality patient care.
Ms. Plemmons came to the Louise Harkey School of Nursing in 1994. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2020 she earned her DNP with an emphasis in educational leadership from Grand Canyon University. Ms. Plemmons is a certified nurse educator by the National League of Nursing. She is also active in a number of nursing organizations and her church where she teaches Sunday School and plays in a hand bell choir.
Other interests include flower gardening and refinishing old furniture.
