About Me
Tyler recently joined the Cabarrus College of Health Sciences team bringing over eight years of higher education experience in both Housing and Residence Life and Undergraduate Admissions and Counseling. Tyler graduated from the University of West Florida (UWF) with a bachelor's degree in Communication Rhetoric before attending the University of West Georgia (UWG) where he obtained a master's degree in Professional Counseling. While at UWG, Tyler met his wife and they have been in North Carolina for over six years now. Tyler is truly passionate about helping students succeed in and outside the classroom while having meaningful conversations with students about their future career goals.
Tyler is native of Florida and loves all things associated with the sunshine state including the beaches, Disney, and being outdoors! In his spare time, Tyler loves catching live music shows with his wife, training and playing with their dog Nana, and checking out all the things Charlotte has to offer like hiking, food, and breweries.
