About Me
Dr. Ryan earned her Associate of Science Degree in Nursing in 2001 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2007 from Cabarrus College of Health Sciences. She then went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership in Nursing in 2019 from the University of South Carolina and finally her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2022.
Dr. Ryan spent the beginning of her nursing career working in mental health in various capacities such as inpatient, outpatient, psychiatric home health, the psychiatric emergency department and the psycho-oncology department at Levine Cancer Institute. Dr. Ryan then went on to become the Director at Monarch Youth Crisis Center in 2018 before returning to the hospital in 2019 as an Administrative Supervisor for Levine Children’s Hospital. Dr. Ryan found her passion for teaching as an adjunct instructor with Southeastern College and she is very excited to share her knowledge and experiences with the next generation of nurses.
Dr. Ryan enjoys spending time with her only son and granddaughter, as well as her fur baby. She is happiest when she gets to travel the world as much as possible exploring new cultures and enjoys working out and reading suspense books in her spare time.
