Kassi Raffaldt, AS, CMA

Kassi Raffaldt, CMA (AAMA), serves as the Program Chair for the Medical Assistant Program at Cabarrus College of Health Sciences. She first joined the program as an adjunct faculty member in January 2023 and later returned as a full-time faculty member in August 2024. Ms. Raffaldt earned her Associate of Science degree in Medical Assisting from Cabarrus College of Health Sciences and is on track to complete her bachelor's degree in Health Sciences Leadership and Development in December of 2026.

Prior to transitioning into higher education, Ms. Raffaldt gained valuable clinical experience in a variety of healthcare settings. She worked as an MMS Assistant at Dermatology Group of the Carolinas, supporting Mohs surgical procedures, and previously served as a Clinical Assistant II in a busy internal medicine practice in Concord, North Carolina. While she greatly valued her clinical experience, her passion for education and workforce development led her to pursue a career dedicated to preparing the next generation of medical assistants.

As Program Chair, Ms. Raffaldt is committed to fostering student success, promoting excellence in medical assisting education, and preparing graduates to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare industry. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she enjoys spending time with her two sons, visiting the beach, and making memories with family and friends.
