“I came to Cabarrus College of Health Sciences after the nursing school I applied to unexpectedly closed, and at the time, I was simply hoping to find a small, supportive college within a healthcare system. What I didn’t know was that I was stepping into a place that would change the entire course of my life. At Cabarrus College I found faculty who truly cared about me, clinical experiences that pushed me to grow, and the confidence and skills I needed to become the nurse I always hoped I could be.

From the moment I graduated the first time, I knew deep down that one day I wanted to return. Not just as an alum, but as someone who could give back into the very community that poured so much into me. Being able to teach future nurses at my own alma mater is something I consider one of the greatest honors of my career.

Becoming a three-time graduate of Cabarrus College is more than an academic accomplishment to me. It’s a reflection of the trust, connection, and sense of belonging I’ve always felt here. CCHS doesn’t just educate nurses; it shapes them, supports them, and prepares them to serve our community with compassion and excellence.

As a clinical and lab instructor in the ABSN program, it means the world to me to now be part of that legacy, sharing my experiences and my passion with the next generation of nurses.”
