Before you get started, we recommend that you attend a virtual information session, campus visit day or schedule a private one-on-one meeting with an admissions coordinator.  This is not an admission requirement but is strongly recommended as the best way to learn about Cabarrus College and our academic programs.

Application Requirements

For admission into the Bachelor of Science in Community Paramedicine program, applicants must meet the general college admissions requirements found in the catalog and submit:

  • Students must hold credentials of a North Carolina or National Registry Paramedic.
  • Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended. An official transcript showing evidence associate degree or diploma in emergency medical services or a related healthcare discipline, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 in all post-secondary coursework. Diploma-holding applicants must complete additional general education credits at Cabarrus College of Health Sciences or produce a transcript from an approved institution.
  • References (using the college Reference Form) from two persons who can attest to the applicant’s professional or academic ability. One must be from either a current supervisor or a prior faculty member.
