About Me

Dr. Khiry Sutton is a former Division I athlete, an educator and a scientist with a multidisciplinary background spanning various STEM fields.

He has a Doctoral Degree in Applied Science and Technology with a concentration in sustainable bioproducts from North Carolina A&T State University, a Master’s degree in Sustainability, and a Bachelors degree in Biology with minors of Mathematics, Chemistry, and Environmental Science both from Wake Forest University.

He has served as an adjunct professor at North Carolina A&T State University in the biology department, as well as taught several courses in biomedical engineering at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. His most recent research focused on developing diseased 3D lung models to study biofilm production.

He enjoys sports and video games as hobbies and loves sweets. He is a native of Winston Salem, NC and resides with his wife and son.
