Technology services ensure the reliability and security of hardware, software, network infrastructure, and enterprise applications across the college. The department performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, manages inventory and equipment, and provides in-service education to staff on the use and upkeep of technology. Their work supports the broader Atrium Health system, requiring mobility across facilities and adherence to safety and privacy standards. This foundational support ensures that the college’s technology environment remains stable, responsive, and aligned with healthcare compliance requirements.
In addition, the department leads strategic initiatives in digital transformation and instructional design. The team develops and manages faculty training programs, student learning centers, and technology-enhanced learning spaces. They oversee the Canvas LMS, pilot emerging technologies, and align digital strategies with accreditation standards and institutional goals. The department also facilitates course evaluations and curriculum design, fostering a culture of teaching excellence and collaboration. By integrating cutting edge tools and pedagogical best practices, technology empowers faculty and students to thrive in a digitally connected, healthcare-focused academic environment.
